Interesting viewpoint, Suhaib. I was at City Saddar Road, today...getting the "battle scars" fixed. And it actually transpired that the shock's "kaabla" and bushes had got themselves detached from the "eye" of the shock...which is why it was dangling about.
Now at normal rest, the eye of the shock is accurately lined up with the mounting point. Is that how it should be? Longer shocks would mean that they'd have to be compressed slightly for the shocks to be mounted...which would reduce the travel/flex considerably, anyways. And whilst I would defer to better/wiser judgement on the issue, it doesn't really appeal to me in terms of common sense. Please do put me wise on the issue.
One thing which IS needed are longer shackles at the front. An additional gain in height of between an inch and two inches (1.5 inches would be perfect), seems to be a requirement rather than a cosmetic luxury...enabling a little more ability to articulate those huge wheels.
I DO look forward to being guided on the matter of the shocks, though.
Regards.
Fouad.
