@Nomi: Excellent dramayee tashkeel !
Thumbs Up! Shabab is undoubted one of the great assets of IJC and personally it has been a pleasure for me to make his company during the last year or so.
Apart from being a bold and brave offroader, Shabab is an avid automotive collector a wide range of exotic cars in his inventory ranging from cadillacs limos to Nissan ZX sports cars. His links with the pakistan film industry are also wel established with his successful conversion of the Kehkashan Cinema in Rawalpindi into a bustling shopping mall MA.
A few words on his Nissan Safari Dragon, I have always felt that in its stock form the SWB Safari is perhaps one of the most capable and rugged 4x4s that we see around particularly with the mechanical winch and the 4.2 diesel torque monster up-front. Naturally, Shabab has progressively reinforced my impression....
On a personal note, with its winch recovery of my CJ7 Baltoro at the Mastuj water crossing was the second extreme recovery of my Jeep by the Safari Dragon (seen on the far side of the nala above)....... I would have owed Shabab two big ones had Nomi not blown the whistle of whose idea was it in the first place to "do it the IJC way" at 1pm at night thousands of miles from Islamabad Neverthless, Shabab's support, dedication and team work at the water crossing was indeed beyond the call of duty.
In the end, I know he is getting some slack here for recently putting in a Toyota 1FZ engine into the Nissan, but apart from being a practical and beefy upgrade the Toyota engine sits well with his philosophy of not having the vehicle out-of-cimmission or at reduced performance at any point due to want of parts. The issues he had with the vehicle during the trip can be put down to his extreme style (partcularly up Shandur) and possibly teething problem with the conversion which obviously based on used parts.
Lastly, for this trip he had the wildest partner in crime by his side at all times, the incomparable Prince Jadoon and together they made an instantaneouly combustable wilde bunch....the less said the better
More power to Ostad Shabab Jaun, may he continue to shower his wildness on IJC and the surroundings for a long time to come.
PS: Nomi...I seem to have forgotten what the objective was here, Shabab ko naukri dilwaanee hai yaa uss kee Shaadi karanee hai? Donon kaam nahin hone wale PW pe Anyways, payment check me mill rehe hai yaa cash mein
