Any comparison between Panasonic 1.5 and TCL 1.5? Both are around in the 90k range and perhaps with long throw.

similar reviews abt inverter from diff people....almost minor diff in consumption in long run + no need to complicate as inverter involves alot of circuitry and it goes bad overtime ....

conventional is good as there's nothing beside some wiring thermostat and compressor....

i had seen haier inverter developing faults and people are literally crying after getting it fixed multiple times from Haier c.c.s and still problem persist . they also paid thousands for faulty parts which later comes out okay as it was replace and check simply...parts are not always available with haier and you may need to wait months before you will see it working again....

haier conventional is still better in my opinion look at how things work here

getting inverter in refrigerator is pretty useless as the consumption is already very low 100-200w so no real advantage. The only plus point is low voltage startup. I had a look at haier website and it seems their eco series which is non inverter also runs at 125V. Inverter runs as low as 105V

LVS series in conventional starts to work from 125-150v but looking at current situation...

150v pe baki kuch nai chalta..lol...150v means you had a damn big fault or broken neutral...

so technically with 150v you would still be reluctant to use fridge bcz its actually unstable and nothing else will work

karachi users used to face it alot but after severe years of up gradation...your 99% actual voltages would vary from 225-235v +/-5 unless you had broken neutral from service wire or internally

as per panasonic...they are distributing their product via PEL in pakistan and ease of after sales.

as per panasonic . items are still from panasonic malaysia/thailand just assembled by PEL

my friend switched to haier inverter fridge last year and swears his bill reduced considerably since then

my point is that monthly bill of refrigerator is hardly 1000-1500 rupees. So if inverter saves 50% of the cost which is unlikely, even then it will take 2 years to cover the initial price difference. You can see specs of any refrigerator, even large 400+ litre ones consume just ~150W.

people who are using stabilizers.

the old heavy huge bulky transformer based stabilizers consume nearly 50-60 watts, without any load attached.

personally tested universal brand stabilizer. 3000 va and 5000 va. not using them any more.

switched to toroidal transformer based slim digital stabilizers. standby load is about 5-7 watts only.

I bought haier Estar refrigerator. Their website and official store sales guy said that it supports low voltage startup i.e. 125V but the sticker on compressor says 220V and since this is non-inverter, so i guess this is just a marketing gimmick what do you guys think?

Secondly i am thinking to install a under/over voltage protection switch which cuts off if voltage is outside the range 170-260.

So even though i checked a lot at time of delivery for any sort of damage, today i found that there are minor cracks on under side of freezer door behind rubber lining. I talked to the guy at haier store and he said to make complaint at UAN. Please see attached pictures. Should i escalate the matter? Personally i feel these cracks are superficial and probably not worth the damagh mari.
Also there are weird bubbles on white plastic liner but i guess these can be ignored.

its actually a manufacturing defect . they could replace the door.. ask for them what will they do..

crack can extend with period of time . since you bought it brand new then why you are reluctant to launch complain

do it and see their response

OK. The main reason i am reluctant is that they will take away the refrigerator and who knows they break more things than fixing it
