After a lot of ping pong between haier store and their UAN, i was finally able register a complaint. I called at UAN and they clearly said to contact the store from where you purchased. They also said: ap ne kharidty hue check nahi kia? I said the store only had display units, delivery was sent later at night from their warehouse. Keep in mind i bought from haier official outlet not any dealer. The guy at stored told me again to make complain at UAN number as this problem is not due to shipping. Which i am pretty sure because it was well packed and these cracks are on the inner/under side of freezer door. So i called again UAN and same story, after a lot of arguments he finally said ok i will arrange a visit but you will have to pay 600 charges. This is when i got angry and i told him are you in your senses? It is a one night old fridge for which i have paid 45k and you have not even seen what the problem is and asking for visit charges? He told me to wait and finally registered complaint without any charges. A visit is planned today so lets see how it goes. @SER_GTR is damaagh ki dahi se bachny k lye reluctant tha men.

I so hate buying any technology item in Pakistan. There is so much lack of information and misinformation that will badly frustrate someone who knows about it, it feels as if people that used to sell fruits and vegetables are now selling tech items. The other day i was at Alfatah johar town to see fridges and the sales guy was telling me that R600 and R134 are same gas bas koi fridge efficient hota hai to us pe r600 likh detay han.
For past one week i was looking to buy a laptop, talked to like 5 different sellers all official dealers wasted hours and after so much khowari and 2numbri i decided to drop this plan for few months.

This is very true, unfortunately there is little training for these sales people because training would take time and cost, and better sales person who can manage all this is also expensive. So these guys make do with what they have.
For tech items like Laptops, it's best to do your own research and then get that model from a reliable seller. No point discussing specs and features with the sellers.

I will not go in to details as this will go against the topic but let me share one story from my past week experience.

You might have heard about Compsi, they are authorized sellers and service center of HP, DELL, Lenovo. Their sales girl offered me a laptop with local warranty. I discussed everything that i needed to and just before i was about to make formal order, i causally inquired that this local warranty can be claimed all over the Pakistan right? And that time she started making excuses that no sir this is our own compsi warranty so in short, all that damagh mari was in vain. Everybody knows that local warranty means manufacturer warranty that can be claimed from any official service center.

You won't believe but i have created an excel sheet to list down all options that i am getting with/without local warranty but there is so much variation that i could not come to a decision. I have decided to delay laptop plan mainly because:
- All models are from 2020 and are overpriced because of covid + dollar inflation.
- small electronic component shortage such TCXO caused global price hike in nearly all electronic components + high demand.
- Newer GPUs are also overpriced due to crypto mining. AMD Ryzen laptops not easily available at the moment.

So i have decided to wait and let things calm down a bit as i am in no urgent need.

I wanted kind of all rounder laptop which can last a few years. Budget was initially 150K and when i looked at market, most branded laptops with mid-tier specs were available in this range so i thought why not spend like 20K more and get a more powerful low-end gaming laptop. Most gaming laptops lie between 150-190k depending upon specs.

which city are you based in?

in karachi, i just bought a 10th gen i3 yesterday. cheapest one is dell vostro at 68k. build quality mazay ki nahi lagi.

i got lenovo thinkbook, because the thinkpad was simply out of range. official warranty is from techsirat. same place that gives warranty for lenovo phones.

personally i have msi, 7th gen i7 with gtx 1070. was bought at about 177,000 3 years back directly from canada.

Believe me Inverter fridge still consumes lesser power than conventional fridge. And if you want to run on Solar or UPS then every Watt matters.

Lower power consuming appliance will run longer on batteries.

On a side note, please avoid running your inverter fridge /ac on crappy modified/simulated sine wave solar inverter or ups. Crap current quality will damage the sensitive electronic circuitry.

haier tech visited today, he said door will be replaced. He called his superior and told him to lodge complaint against the haier official store meaning internally they will put the expenses to the store from where i purchased it. He said i cannot guarantee that it will be replaced as usually we do not cover damage but i will try my best.

He said they can change the door at your premises so lets see when they get back to me. Personally i am planning not to escalate too much as its not that big deal.

btw all the pipes behind fridge are covered in lacquer however a portion (10inch approx) of suction line near compressor has no lacquer on it. Shall i paint it myself?

fair enough...as i said if they are replacing only door... let it be...let them do it at your premisis...its simple job.

for that part do it yourself its good... just cover rest of area and spray on that part...

usually lacquer comes handy in air condition u-bends and typical lines passing where heat/cold cycle is extreme and moisture presence is alot...

Thanks brother. One more thing, in refrigerators these days the drain pan is placed above the compressor and it is non-removable. Also there are drain holes in both refrigerator and freezer compartment so i was just wondering is it ever possible that drain pain overflows on compressor In high humid days and fridge is opened multiple times, all that moisture will end up on that drain pan and due to humidity it may not have enough time to evaporate LOL i know i am overthinking but just wondering why they would put drain pan above compressor as its a bit risky.

Overthinking,.....it had deep multi-layered plate..capacity is quiet large...its removable but not in easy way...no pull insert...
.its actually effective in summers...\.you wont see it overflowing unless there a abnormal amount of washing done inside...literally dumped

even defrosted .. it wont overflow .. using haier and it had same tray and never once it overflow.. just keep drain clean. and look into tray once in a 6 month...keep back fins clean and atleast 4-5" gap for air flow between wall and condensor grill

its looks like risky but its not....it had its overflow also in case capacity ends...the water will drop down on floor

Its placed there for cooling the compressor as well. and the heat from the compressor evaporates the water. so a win-win

just to let you guys know that my freezer door was replaced free of cost. The people at UAN tried their best not to register complaint but once it was registered, everything went trouble free and within 2 days they changed with brand new door. Also after a day i received a feedback call in which the guy asked all things like are you satisfied? did our techs take any money? did they ask for pin code after making fixes or before? Overall i was impressed by Haier's complaint resolution.
In case you guys don't know, when you register a complaint, a 4 digit pin is received on your phone. You are supposed to give the pin code to technician once your issue is resolved.

I think you can lodge a complaint online as well on their website. You need to enter serial number of the product for that

Haier did great.. door replacement .nice. see trying complain worth it..

my update for the season so far is all units service/repaired charged . hopefully this season will goes w.o trouble

just need to replace one of thermostat on old dawlance fridge. bought it already just need to install
