I got two last year. Quality is regular - like every other AC these days.
The thing is that as soon as AC installer opened the AC box, he said "Sir ye tu Hall Road wala AC hai". I said I bought it directly from Changhong, but he said these ACs are available with Mitsubishi branding as well - exact same shape. So I checked on olx and sure enough found pics of exact AC design being sold with Mitsubishi logo and box and 10K cheaper.
I called Changhong about this and they said they assemble their own ACs here, plus I've got warranty card so I should be fine. Now I have no idea, whether Changhong actually makes these ACs and people on Hall road buy these from Changhong for cheap(without warranty) and sell it as Mitsubishi. OR maybe they are all imported. Members should do some research and share details here.
As to the working, the one mounted on sidewall works perfectly fine. The one sitting on roof creates vibration noise in walls when compressor ramps up. I had to use multiple rubber feet and its very reduced now - still not completely gone. But the Gree non-inverter 10-year old that was sitting on the same stand never made any vibration sound.
The customer service is quite good though. I called and the guy came up next day to look at it and spent 1 hour, then basically said its compressor design is causing this issue, but its the first time he's seen it. After he left, I received follow-up call from Changhong, and I told them that the issue isn't resolved, so next day they sent another guy. He also spent much time trying to sort it out, but the only solution was to add more rubber damping to the stand.
Heating/cooling wise they're fine, haven't measure electricity bill so can't say. I guess, next time I will go with TCL - because they claim Dual rotary compressor, so hopefully, no noise/vibration.
