Thank you sir. The thing is.. most acs have a rated operating current value on their website and sometimes on outdoor a.c
Most a.c's have 9.6-9.8 ampere current for a 2 ton a.c. This includes gree, lg, samsung etc.
But the truth is, this ampere can reach 13-14 amps in pure summer heat when sun is out and its boiling.
Some people will start to worry why ac is taking out 13-14 amps. This is normal as ac is working against certain variables very hard to bring down the temp asap. So nothing to worry about. Just make sure that once ac has achieved target temp the ampere should fall within 20 minutes to around 5-7A then should reach 1.5.-3.8 for 2 ton a.c. and 1.5-3 for a 1.5 ton.
Thats why it is always advisable to set temp at 27-28. One should check how long it takes to reach 26, and if its taking longer or cannot be achieved due to room size being larger, then you should run your ac on 28-29 as amperes will only come down when temp is achieved. If temperature is not achieved this will cost you same as conventional a.c. :).
The ranges above depend on if there is sun, or if its night. thats why i gave ranges.
Anyone else please also mention your maximum amperes for 1.5 and 2 ton a.cs in afteroon with sun out. Please also mention where outdoor is placed (roof or ground in shade). It will give an idea of current consumption.
