This has the potential to kill off 2008, Jolion, Upcoming Fronx (if incorrectly priced),HRV, e-HRV, Cross maybe even Raize, those looking to switch from new PKDM sedans.

NexGen has pricing model is definitely aggressive. If they can keep their repute in after sales and deliveries they have the potential to dethrone the ever green sazgaar as the best performing Chinese Assembler in the country.

I'm hoping it actually prevents the Fronx from being launched. Just a terrible car when I saw it as PAPS and based on my conversation with Suzuki reps there's high possibility it will be priced incorrectly.

The boomers running these companies (big 4 or 5) just aren't adapting to changing market dynamics or simply cannot compete on pricing with these newer chinese cars.

Competition is good and hope consumers continue to benefit in terms of better choice and pricing.

Looks good. I like the exterior more than j7, since it is more symmetrical. However the speedometer is plain ugly. Does anyone have reliable fuel average and 0-100 figures?

International markets seem to have a full digital speedometer. I don’t know why Pakistan got this EV scooter looking meter.

The Malaysian version has this type of Speedo (on at-least one of the trims).

Anyone got the fuel figures? 0-100 seems around 10 seconds.

Fuel economy of J5 HEV in city as reported by one of the Australian review is 23 kpl. Which is surprising for me since the company claim WLTP fuel economy figure is 18 kpl. Obviously, the fuel economy at motorway speeds will be low. Maybe lower than WLTP number as see in other hybrids. Overall impressive.

Anything less than 20kmpl would be unacceptable considering HRV and Corolla Cross can manage it. Haval H6 does around 17 to 18.

Hrv is king of fuel average, does 25 easy. If only it was proced right.

Guys, you need to understand 20+ avg is only possible in the city driving. At 120 kph, Cross gives 14 kpl only.

This is because it's a new product by Jaecoo. Another factor is Australia, and Europe is getting BEV version of J5. Third world countries are mostly interested in hybrids.

My C-HR (similarly sized, but was significantly more aerodynamic) used to give between 18-20 with adaptive cruise at 115 km/h.

This isn't as aerodynamic and has a more powerful, turbocharged engine so I'd expect it to be around 15-16 km/L on average with adaptive cruise set to 120 km/h.
