Karachi to gorakh hills station

Dear,
We are 6 friends planning a trip to Gorakh Hills since a long time. Now, we have decided to go their on this coming Long Weekend (23rd Mar).
We have few concerns for which we want some advices from you guys.
1- You have mentioned in your thread that you parked your Mehran at a Petrol Pump. Please advise- if it is OK for any one to park their or you have some contacts their?
2- Please advise the Traveling time from karachi to Gorakh Hills as you mentioned 10 hours? (Karachi to Johi ~ 7am to 1pm & reached Gorakh at 5pm). Maybe, ap log ruktay rukatay gaey hogay!! Please clear.

Dear Rizwan when you reach Johi you must need a 4x4 from there to Gorakh hills so your ride will park at petrol pump on behalf of jeep driver which will you hire and it is safe no issue
Minor time difference maybe happen with you but it is minimum 8 hours track if you go there non stop on top gear
So it is hardly one to two hour difference plan your trip according to it

One more question:
Please advise- which 4x4 is available there? Potohar or other big jeeps? Actually, we are 6 & we think that it might be difficult for us to accommodate in Suzuki Potohar alongwith the luggage & Jeep Driver. If the Jeep is not enough for us then we need one more Jeep which will shoot up the Jeep fair from 4000 to 8000!!!!

Our group just came back from gorakh on 29th Feb 2015 and they get amazing weather there about -8 temp in night but no sign of snow

I have a fortuner. we are 6 friends. Have earlier driven till swat madyan in a civic. So consider myself trained (Allah nay chaha to ) as normally go to ibd / LHR twice a year

i dont know if this is the right place to ask but i was planning a trip to gorakh with friends on my 1978 starlet 4k , how far can i go ? is it necessary to get a 4wd to reach the top? can a car thats not 4wd reach the top? anyone?
