Hello ALL, Indeed a very helpful forum , Please can any one tell me the price of KIA FWD in lahore or karachi as i visited rawalpindi showroom and they were telling that the price is 46lac and advance tax is 1 lac which will be 47lac in total. I thought kia is selling FWD of 46lac including the advance tax. Can someone clearify this please.

so btwn FWD And AWD, Sara pessa AWD ka hai.

are difference such as

Electric / Leather seats
Electric / Memory Tail gate
Spare Alloy Wheel
and 2 extra sensors at the front

worth paying the extra 8 lac or did i miss something ?

Not to mention worse fuel economy and acceleration. Seems like ‘fully-loaded’ mentality at play.

I wouldn't say worse. If FWD gives 12, AWD can easily manage 10.

If the AWD is better are grip, traction and cornering it's a different story

Thats a 20% difference.

Also dont see how you need that extra grip and traction if the ground clearance is not enough to do offroading anyway. And about ‘cornering’... dont know what kind of cornering anyone is gonna be doing. Not exactly a fast car by any standard. Quite a slob tbh.

Lumbar sport is also in difference and yes except leather seats every thing is worth paying in AWD

As mentioned in the first post of this thread. The Sportage AWD is not really for hardcore offroading.

These are City SUVs, by cornering I definitely dont mean fast and furious off roading. By cornering I only mean taking sharp cuts at 80-100 km/H with out the car skidding away.

20% is negligible, no ones buying the sportage for fuel saving anyways. 🤷‍♂️

I drove my cousin’s fwd yesterday and that car had electronic lumbar support although other seat adjustments were manual

I have moved from Gli Auto 1.3 to Sportage FWD. My daily commute is within city and amid congested traffic. Gli started with 9km/l and in three years reached 11.2km/l. Sportage is giving me above 9km/l and it's less than 1000km driven. I am seeing constant improvement is consumption. On highway it provided more than 12km/l and will improve further as the total kms increase.

Difference between consumption in AWD & FWD is not that much. Worst fuel economy tag is a bit premature, I would say. Let the vehicles drive 5000 or more kms then it would be more clear.

Lumbar support is in FWD too

I don’t recall lumbar support in FWD as it has normal seats instead of electric

Seats are not electric but lumbar support is there.

Didn’t check the passenger seat because I was driving and there is a button for lumbar adjustment in the side of fwd variant as well

20% may or may not seem like a lot. To me it seems useless wasting even 10% fuel for a feature that does not have any real utilty.
I say that because I havent driven any of the sedans or crossovers available in pakistan and felt like they needed AWD. AFAIK similar vehicles like Vezel and Vitara etc dont really have a skidding problem either (unless maybe youre pushing them beyond their capabilities).
However completely different story when i lived in a really snowy part of the world and had a FWD car.
Pretty sure the AWD in Sportage is geared more towards those conditions rather than to improve handling etc like in lets say an Audi R8.

However if owners have noticed a significant difference in handling under normal pakistani driving conditions between the two variants then maybe it is worth it but otherwise waste of money IMO.
