Engine size: about 4000cc 6 cylinders, Petrol. Should be able to produce around 400 WHP and 400-500 Nm reliably.
Features: Keep it simple. Aerodynamic styling, should not be boring, but it shouldn't look soft like the todays LCs and Prados..
Chassis should be as strong as it can be. Suspension should be able to cope with the toughest terrains in stock form. Part time and full time 4WD systems should be mated with a good reliable 4-speed auto gearbox. With differentials specially designed to do the job. No ABS/EBD. No power windows, no power side mirros, no gadgety stuff. A good aircon, two or three airbags.. A good stiff rollbar in side the cabin. Comfortable seats covered in a cloth like good material.. Shocks and springs should be separate and not one-piece, makes modification easy and cheap. Traditional coil springs at the rear, but there is nothing with leaf springs if its for off-roading.. Engine bay should have enough room to easily work on the engine with out 'losing' one hand or the other :P. Interior be simple, dashboard made of good quality plastic, a 4-speaker sound system would also be a nice thing to have. Temp needles like for the transmission oil temp should be in the stock meter cluster. Since its going be made in the modern days, it would be an OBD II, there should be an onboard computerized system to diagnose and change the settings when desired, this would be achieved by using a 7 to 8 inch screen in the dashboard and a computer specially for the car. No need to goto computerized shops and get your ass raped. So here is my 5 seater, with good ample space in the back..what i think a real SUV could be.
