Brothers mujhe 2 months howe hain Liana leye howe. Aur main PW ka member bhi Liana lene ke baad bana hon. Is thread ke maine start se saray pages read kiye hain aur abhi bhi 330 Page per puhoncha hon.... mere khiyaal se sab se zyada Abid bhai ko unki Liana ne rulaya hai , heating issue ki wajah se.
But honestly Abid bhai apki Car ki pics dekh ker tu mujhe yehi andaza howa ke app ne bohut rulli howi car purchase ker li thi, isi wajah se apko itni problems ko face kerna parha aur shayed pichle owner ne sale bhi isi heating issue ki wajah se ki hogi.
2 months pehle tak mujhe Car ko chalane ke ilava is ke Engine ke baray me kuch pata nahi tha, ye tak pata nahi tha ke iska Air Filter kahan hota hai ya Throttle body kya cheez hoti hai.
But PW per app bhaiyon ke comments aur experience ko follow kerte howe ab main apni Car ko khud diagnose ker raha hon aur iske fault ko khud remove ker raha hon. Alhumdullillah

Its not the case as you saying. I bought a car at good price after seeing many cars. It was fully in original paint, just a door wad showered, genuine mileage of 95000km, drive was really smooth, engine was 10/10, suspension was almost perfect. It was nov 2013 - the only issue which i came accross was that the axles were really bad which i came accross after 1 month of purchase. Since i try to live with sasta kaam so i had baleno's altered axles installed with complete satisfsction till now. 3 time gaskets gone were due to our faults - once we ran car with a leaked radiator, second time we ran the car with a leaking waterbody, third time we ran our car without the radiator cap placed. Still, after such gasket issues, car runs perfect Mashallah with direct fan and tstat valve removed. There are absolutely no error codes on scanner, no engine issues, no oil burning, no overheating. I keep minimal care of my car. Oil is changed after 6-7k kms, never changed gear, ps, clutch, brake oils - dont know their condition. Tuning just done twice since 25k kms we have kept this car. I am actually not into car maintenance at all but i know much about best practices which i suggest to others. The suspension was making noises since 3 months and i had the work done last week - too lazy for such things.The radiator is too bad and rusted but np, chal raha hai tou chalta rahay - the reality infact is that cars like liana, corolla, civics are totally maintenance free cars. They just need workshop visit once any issue arises. Warna koi bhi kam nahi nikalta in cars me. And i am very happy with it.

Why to have over head of ECU controlling temperature and tstat for controlling waterfelow.. We live n karachi where climate is always hot so it's better not to have any dependency and further AC fan must be checked it should be high speed motor then normal fan this configuration work satisfactory

Chalein khushi howi ke app ab apni Car se khush hain, warna tu abhi bhi main 2015 ke pages read ker raha tha jis me apki Car ne app ke Ansoo nikilwa deye thay......

Yes Abid bhai app bilkul theek keh rahe hain, kam az kam maine tu Car ke baray me abhi tak jo seekha hai wo PW Forum se he sekha hai aur mazeed bhi abhi seekh raha hon. Jab ke mera barha bhai aur chota bhai mujh se kafi pehle ke unke pas apni Xli & Mehran Car hain. But wo dono apni cars ka ek chota sa kaam bhi mechanic se he karwatay hain aur unko kisi bhi fault ya problem ko solve kerna nahi aata.

Liana CNG Problems & there solutions.


CNG Switch Lights Problem :- maine jab Liana Car li thi tu iski FF CNG switch ki lights proper work nahi ker rahi thi matlab jab CNG full karwao tu all 4 lights ON rehti thi tu jab CNG bilkul end per hoti thi tu tab bhi 4 ki 4 lights ON rehti thi. is problem ke leye maine kuch din pehle isi thread me ek post bhi ki thi but kisi bhai ka koi khas reply nahi aya. Phir maine PW forum per he search ker ke is problem ka solution dhoondh leya.
( Maine ek dafa ek local CNG mechanic ko apni Car check karwai isi masle me tu os ne kuch deer check kerne ke baad keh deya ke iska CNG converter switch kharaab hai aur ye new lage ga 3500 Rs. mein )

Solution :- FF CNG kit ke oper front per he black cover ke ander Sensor laga hota hai, jo CNG Lights ko control kerta hai, maine jab os Sensor ko utaar ker check keya tu wo dust se bhara howa tha aur almost jam hoa howa tha, maine osko Carb Cleaner se achi tarhan saaf kiya, os ke sath lagi howi wire aur Grip ko bhi check ker ke os ko bhi saaf kiya aur phir ignition switch ON ker ke CNG Sensor ko aaram aaram se right / left move ker ke Cylinder me mujood CNG ke hisaab se lights ki setting ki matlab os time Cylinders me taqrebin half CNG mujood thi tu maine 2 lights per Sensor ko set ker deya aur phir Sensor ko wapis apni jagah per full tight ker ke laga deya, kyon ke ye pehle thurha lose bhi tha.

( Yaad rahe ke isko laga ker achi tarhan se tight kerna hai, behter hai ke iske oper tape ker dein taa ke iska black cover right left move na karay, just black cover ke ander Sensor move karay )

Kisi ka air filter assembly toot gai and he could not find liana's own so he has gone for a jugaar.. Maybe

Tstat k baghair car ziada dair tak thandi chalti hai. Cold engine deteriorates more rapidly as compared to hot engine because when hot, oil is heated up and flowing much more smoothly throughout the engine. If tstat is removed, oil stays cold for prolonged period, increasing the overall engine wear every time you ride your car. As the years pass by, this damage collectively results in a much greater engine wear than it would if the car was running with thermostat. Btw I live in Lahore. If your car's thermostat opens correctly, you (or your mechanic) have installed it correctly with the bypass valve at the top, the pressure cap is good, the fan runs when it is supposed to do and you are using a good quality pre-mixed coolant instead of nalkay ka paani, there can never be any overheat issue.

doesnt matter - the cooling system in your car is built to cool it down easily. - btw you guys have no idea what hot temperature is - hot is when your shoes start to stick to cement. (phoenix, AZ)

Following is the detail of car, and also what i need to know on urgent basis because i have to tune it up, & from 100 pages i learned the things i need to change, plz add if i miss anything & advise me which i ask. My uncle from which we bought this car, took good care of it but i want to set it up from ground zero, as it is nearing 90k mileage, so i want to perform all overhauls.

Congratez on your purchase (pics please :D)
1)don't touch throttle body unless it really messed up get shims inspected (do it every 40k km)
2) best engine oil for m13a is SGP 10w-40 or any 5w-30 api sn
3)change it on every oil change
4)Liana gearbox takes appox 2l oil use gl4 75w-90
5)if there is tap water in radiator than you need a hard flush before adding coolant first pour toyota red coolant for 10k km and than after proper flush use caltex long life coolant (Toyota red coolant will instantly protect your radiator)

7)you need to flush clutch fluid every year
8)same as clutch fluid
10)go for platinum if you don't won't to change sparks soon

3. YES car was run on tap water before. Will have to flush it 1st the way you told.
10. DOES NGK have platinum plugs ?? if not, then which ones i should use ?
