Sir I disagree in a very humble way.
Cars in pk is are luxury, not a necessity. Its us who have imprints in mind that its a necessity now. (I am to be included in this category as well). So if one can afford it, only then he should buy it. Go before 1999 when bank leasing was not common, you could see people had care for this life earned possession. Plus they only bought one when they knew their monthly income allowed for it.
CNG although dropped the burden from "THAT" everyday car user. But CNG combined with leasing also allowed many others to enjoy a luxury with negligible dent on the pocket. Anywhere in the world, luxury has a price. And we as a nation are not willing to pay for it.
The reason I say this is not because I can afford petrol. But because i realize that driving on petrol makes me more careful about do's and dont's in everyday commute, meeting freinds, taking out family etc based on my pocket.
