Sad, but true my friend..
From an economic point of view cng was vital for moving the Pakistani wheels rolling on the roads. It was a step towards self reliance. No super power can stop cng because its produced in the country, however they can readily stop the petrol and Diesel any time by oil embargo if we dont obey our masters..
Pakstan-Iran-India pipeline was a step towards towards having a surplus suppply of natural gas, Similarly gas from Turkmenistan was another project.. unfortunately theset projects have not been completed because of many reasons..strategic, global super power interets and political mainly..
People even today think that natural gas is produced in Balochistan only, so my friends Baluchistan only produce a fraction of natural gas from our vast reservoirs..Natural gas has been in production from our Sindh, KPK and Punjab, with the grace of Almighty. Masha Allah all of our provinces can produce so much natural gas that is sufficient for every industry here in Pakistan but who is gonna explore them! and what about commisssion!!:S
Another fact CNG uses abt7% of total share of natural gas. Our house hold needs require another 7% only. Our big shots feeding the nation that Cng is consuming the natural gas rapidly is not fair..
Artificial crisis and mis management od natural gas is what we are looking at..
