To de-sulphate battery terminals, I usually pour hot water and it does its job. Grease is usually not recommended or completely a bad idea. I don’t know about petroleum jelly but do know that there is a special type of jelly available for battery terminal, usually not available in Pakistani market. Cant comment about baking soda procedure but have hear that @xulfiqar recommended it. You can further read or dig on internet.

You don't have to be precise with that. Take as much petroluem jelly as to cover both battery terminals and UPS/car clamps and take half tablespoon of baking soda mix both and apply a good layer of petroleum jelly on terminals and clamps.
Ofcourse clean the terminals and clamps before with a sand paper and use a cloth to rub-clean it. Then apply the procedure.

Backup time keep dropping again. When I checked the S.G., it is 1100 ( battery is just 26 days old and i got it charged by battery guy just 7 days ago). Now that ups parameters are set right. Only thing left is to get Pyrochem electrolyte tomorrow. then gonna perform flush and put in pyrochem. Thanks again Bro or else i would be totally lost by now ( after paying to 2 different ups guys & 2 different battery charging guys, still no one had solved the problem). JazakAllah Khair

I've a question about charging.
I've cyberpower inverter with AGS 165 battery. the inverter charges battery at 10A and there's no option to change charging current. now when battery if fully charged it provides backup of around 2 hours. But then during next 1hr of ups is not able to fully charge battery and it gives backup of only 30 to 45 minutes.
Now my question is that is there any way to charge battery in 1 hour to the point that it provides backup of at-least 1 hour without changing the ups? can I attach external charger of higher amperes with battery without damaging anything? and if i attach external charger then will both ups and external charger will charge at same time?

Yes u can add a battery charger over it. 10A battery charger will be enough for this.

Yes u can add a battery charger over it. 10A battery charger will be enough for this.

So total charging current will be 10A external charger + 10A UPS = 20A ?

need a battery for my 700 Watts UPS.
mostly used with 2 fans & 2 energy savers.
was previously using AGS 165 but it's just not giving back up for even an hour for this much usage.

my Mehran battery has suddenly died. it was original battery from company Phoenix. i don't want to install a new battery as i will be selling the car within a week (will surely ask the new owner to change the battery once the deal is done)
what is suggested ?
should i get the electrolyte changed or what is recommended so that the battery can survive almost 10 days ?

Got 30 Kg can for Rs.750. Next time give back empty can for Rs.150 and you will can get 30 KG can for Rs.600.
Rest is transportation cost.

There are several other shops on the same road which can provide open sulphuric acid i guess.
I bought 5 lit sulphuric acid for 500 rs with container.
4 Lbs of Epsom salt, 400 rs.
10 lit distilled water bottle, 125 rs.
Hydrometer 250 rs.

they are not selling it anymore..

i am getting 30 kg drum (along with drum ) for 1700 from one shop but i have no means to carry it .. as its risky on motorcycle and also taxi wala says it ruins their taxi ..

if anyone from isb having car etc wants to buy it can pm me we will buy it and share it . or if someone has excess of it can sell it to me .

I'm looking for some help
I'm having a local 700watts ups which i'm using with a 140ampere osaka battery
The battery has spent a year and a half and now its NOT giving me a backup

I'm having a few questions
On how much voltage should be the battery charging? ( i checked the voltage by a multimeter and found that when the ups is charging the voltage goes to 13.5 volts) when battery full sign comes the voltage drops to 12.80 volts

2: how many voltage AC should we be getting on output? I checked the output voltage with a multimeter with 2 fans running from a random socket and they were 270 which i adjusted by varying a potentiometer (variable resistance) to 240 . Is this fine?

3: the battery is a bit weak, i want to purchase a new battery now , what is the maximum battery i can attack to the ups which will not hurt my ups nor will harm itself
I am currently using 140 ampere battery , whats tge max battery i can attach?

I am anxiously waiting for a detailed reply
