I am now 38 and have been fortunate enf to have driven several cars over the years, both in pakistan and abroad.
In the family, we have a 2004 Corolla Gli (94000km), a 2004 Santro (SIster), 54000km, A honda CIty 2006 (47000 km) and a 2005 Honda Civic (brother) Vti 83,000 km .
AMong all the cars mentioned above, I think the City is by far the WORST. It has DANGEROURS, unpredicatable handling and also hydroplanes EASILY on wet roads. Brakes are better than Corolla but are STILL MUCH worse than the Margalla. The Pick of my sister's santro is far better than the CIty, both on CNG and Petrol. The Honda CIty Body is also very weak and rattles are common.
Now TO Margalla. I have driven Margallas extensively. I am of the Opinion that the Margalla is the BEST BARGAIN in Pakistan. The Handling is NOT very different from the 2005 Honda Civic that we have and this is beacuse the suspension design is similar to HOnda Civic 2005 as well as the NEW REBORN. The brakes are excellent. Noise levels are low. Ride is as good as the New Civic. The engine is EXTREMELY responsive and POWERFUL both on CNG and Petrol. AMong all the cars that I I have had over the years, this is the one that has impressed me MOST and it STILL impresses and SURPRISES EVERY time I DRIVE it.
IT is a BIG statement to make that IF you put a Honda CIvic Body on a MArgalla Chassis. the Dirvers WONT even notice that there is a Margalla CHassis under the gleaming, shining Honda Civic Reborn Body. The MArgalla is That good.
HOnda Civic Lovers, if you want a proper handling car but cant buy a 1.2 million rupees that HOnda owners are asking for, for a 2005 CIvic VTi Find your self a Margalla in good condition or better yet, get it reconditioned. and YOU would have a car as GOOD Dynamically, as the Civic.
