We left Muzaffarabad for PirChinasi, but had a flat tyre. We did not have any Wheel Spanner, and it was already dark. So, we decided to turn back to Muzaffarabad for the night stay. Just around 2 km on our way back, the flat tyre got so much distorted that it was touching the brake lines, and we could not continue our journey. The tyre is a total loss, of course……..
So, we waited in the Gypsy, and enjoyed Peanuts and Gur. And contacted a lot of people to get a spanner (except the MJC, which was a gross mistake as we were very close, and they could have easily sent down someone) We waited, and waited…. and waited some more. At last some vehicle approached. We jumped onto the road and almost frightened the ….(#*^%) out of the occupants. Anyway, the driver and the sahib, once convinced that we were not dacoits or terrorists, helped us a lot and not only gave their spanner, they practically changed the tyre for us.
Came back to MD, and stayed at a very good hotel.
We paid half the routine rent, because it was already 2:00 am! (we convinced them that we are staying only part time!)
We were a bit disappointed……….. and depressed…… and we were remembering what Salman usually says ????????
