My corolla xli manual 2009 rpm reading goes to 4000 in 120 km/h speed. is it normal ?
bro in which gear ????
Yes its normal.in 5th gear, at 120, rpm is at 4mine 2006 Gli, and 2009 Gli both does same with mileage 83 and 42 k respectively
It is normal in 5th gear
bhai 1300 keliye normal hai bas speed 80-90kph kay darmiyaan rakha karo car kay engine par kuch kam wear and tear hogi.
I beg to differ from your view point. Corolla has rather short gear ratios making the rpm higher at any given speed. My Swift does has around 3,300rpm at 120km/h and a R18 prosmetec is around 2,300rpm at 120km/h. It's all to do with gear ratios.
all depends upon the weight and form factor of the vehicle and the output of the engine at different rpms. its all in the design. corollas are designed that way. doesn't mean that it is bad. 1.6 ltr older civics get close to 3.8k rpm too at 120 kmph.
Sir weight of the car matters too and putting a smaller displacement engine in a huge body will always have its side effects
