By the grace of Allah, After waiting of long time I got my Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 facelift.
I have been driving my GLi 2010 for 7 years and drove almost 270000 KMs
My story starts when I approached Toyota showroom in August to get book my car I was told there that no car was available till November and for November booking you have pay an additional amount for insurance and extended warranty but when I gave them reference of availability of car available on Indus website they told me another tale. I was following facelift thread on PakWheels where the same issued were reported by various users and @autophile brother helped the people in this regard and I got benefit of same.
I lodged an complaint on Indus helpline and also emailed my issue. The very next day, I received call from the Dealer regarding my case and he asked me to book car on full payment option for September delivery without any additional package then finally I got booked my car in super white on 9th August and PBO was issued even dated.
After that I got registered my car with two digit Punjab number which cost me Rs:86,000.
Car exterior is eye-catching to me and new front bumper, side skirts, headlights and lower grill enhanced the look of car as compared to pre-facelift and alloy rims gave it sporty look
Overall tire quality is good and road grip/handling is improved
Car interior is not so good as Toyota used cheap plastic parts in some area however it is acceptable but Optitron meter really amazed me
Seats are really comfortable and color scheme is matched with car interior.
Black floor mats gives classy look.
Altis 1.6 has powerful engine as I upgraded from Gli and the car acceleration is very responsive and powerful and gear shift is very smooth. Brakes are also very responsive
Mileage till now
I drove 1300KM till now and giving me good mileage. I remained between 120-140KM/h on motorway most of time and it give me 12.9KM/L
In city in rush hours it give me 11KM/l with very soft pedal. Hope so it will increase after second service.
Car suspension is very very smooth I was surprised by the suspension and ride is highly comfortable even on rough roads
Alpine Headunit Infotainment System
One thing which totally disappointed me is new Alpine headunit which is piece of scrap. Firstly it does not detect USB and when it detects USB then it does not play audio and play only video ( Later on, I found solution jogadd changing source can bring audio back)
I tried using different USBs but it is cruel with all of USBs _ :stuckout_tongue:
And sometimes it shows shutdown message
No word for reverse camera as you can see night time result in this photo
First 100KM Service
I got checked up my car on first 1000KMs and the dealer inspected the car and cleaned air filters etc. I also asked to replace the Alpine Headunit and they agreed after 2 hours inspection of unit to replace the unit in warranty and inshAllah I will go for replacement of unit on arrival of unit from Karachi.
Alhamdulliah, I am totally satisfied by my car and every time it is fun to drive. If you are looking for sedan in this range and your budget allow you then you can go for Altis 1.6.
