I wish it was easy for you to visit.Pondy is home to Auroville and many nationals from all over the world, the majority French who live here permanently. The restaurants, dance clubs and cabarets are all world class!!.It is the "Big Easy" of India, what New Orleans is to Americans!.The photos above are from the Aurobindo Ashram area located in downtown.I had to head back to Madras early, else i would have taken pics of the city.It is beautiful indeed!!....
szuberi......aplenty!!.I got censored and warned 'cause of my previous post!.So, i'm keepin' it light and airy!.Beautiful women from all over da world sunbathing by the beach and some of the best clubs and rave parties (underground) on the East coast of Bharat!.Night time is when one be at Pondy!!.NO tax on alcohol just adds to the mayhem.I saw this old woman at the liquor store dump a bag of coins and demand a "quarter".Didn't care about the line. The old broad was already tanked up!.I didn't take a pic of her , but wanted to badly, capture the expression on her face!.I love da place!.
what r the whereabouts of this place?? somewhere near GOA??
Dis is where Pondicherry is located, on the east coast of India , diametrically opposite to Goa.The approx. distance from Goa is 1000 km.
Three pics i left out.T'was late last nite.....
Pondicherry police....gendarmes...dat's what they're called!!...
The main road by the sea in Pondicherry.......great in the evenings!....
The madras to pondy section of the East Coast Road...quite a scenic road....much better than taing the higway....one passes through quaint villages, salt flats, lakes and rivers for the 152 km , which is the distance from Madras to Pondicherry.......
dat's it...!
