If someone messed with the carbs you would be lucky to get anything above 10km/litre. These bikes come with four cylinders which means that the combustion is taking place at four points. More rpms means more combustion and thus more fuel consumption and lesser economy. Once you are a proud owner of a four cylinder bike, be it any model or make, I believe you should not bother about the fuel consumption. Or else you can enjoy economical ride on CD70 and ride with a smile on your face.
