I have noticed about 4 11th gen corolla crashes on this forum and I dont even come here that often. Its only been what 6 months that it got launched. Many users have mentioned and rightly so that its not the car but most probably the driver who is at fault. The damage on most cars tells that they were traveling at high speeds. I am from Lahore and I dont think there is single road safe to drive above 80km other than the ring road.
As some users mentioned, attitude also plays a role. Far many people take it for a sports car than a family sedan. Its not entirely their fault either. I have noticed the Civic commercial being aired for past few days on TV. They are promoting it like a sports car and literally say the word attitude in it. Instead of marketing on its safety features like standard SRS airbags and EBD on all models and the fuel efficiency, they make this stupid cheap ad about skype, back camera and that stupid key, with growling engine sound in the background.
Also not to forget, motorbikes are a plague and one of the top causes of accidents on the roads daily. Some thing needs to be done. They think they are great riders when the cut past in front of you, yet they dont know its the car's driver who applied the brakes gently to slow the car down just enough to avoid the crash.
I moved here from overseas 3 years ago and had a hard time adjusting to the traffic. Believe me if I drive like I am used to drive overseas, following all my rules and regulation, I would be running over and killing 5-10 bikers every day. Stress much!
