As earlier i said, i haven't swapped any QG18de without its own ecu. Even sometimes scrappies hand over QG15 ecu's and i always cancel the deals when they're not with their own ecu.
I told them about QG18de ecu and told them even you don't need to buy a loom completely instead I'll get this wiring going with O2 and vvt wires. Since I've many QG wirings with me, few are cut and couple are uncut.
So they said, we were planning to sell this car earlier, and once we're satisfied by the engines output we will soon upgrade to QG18de ecu.
Since it wasn't only ecu.
Exhaust header needed replacement, wiring, ecu, o2 sensor, so they were kind of hesitant in spending currently.
My job was to explain them clearly about QG18de its ecu, its injectors. Everything i did.
There's a difference between xyz and sheeda ustaad sitting under pepal tree. I am someone that prefers quality in everything. I don't recommend swaps if the radiator is weak, i am not like this kay i say, thora chalayen to theek hojaega.
My logic is, car is a machinery, if u do some work and fix something, it will right away show u sign of getting fixed..purpose of telling you this is, i am not any newbie, its written member on my profile. But i am way more senior in this field, not with respect to age, with respect of practical experience, and number of swaps I've done with different engines
Whether its a Suzuki, whether its a Toyota or a Nissan.
I appreciate good logics. Like @Hassan1991 gives in many posts, like @Xulfiqar was educating some people about premixed and mixed coolants. So always appreciate these advices.
Now everyone has a different mindset, different way of carrying out things. You'll pull your left ear from left hand and maybe I'll pull my left ear from left hand but in a different position, in the end you'll also be successful and I'll also be... So i i said earlier the O2 sensor of QG13de N16 is pot. Means fuel trims are based on the air flow inputs and throttle inputs.
The ecu isn't expecting O2 sensor feedback.
Current issues coming in car as stated by owners
1) car is giving 11kmpl on long
2)car is giving 9/10 on local
Now what's happening engine is running rich on mid to high rev range, since the ecu is only believing tp, maf sensor and coolant sensor for controlling fuel trims.
So the plugs were opened, they were dark brown in colour and when the car is idling it is throwing rich mixture fumes..
Based on these points i am not considering it lean anyway..
Now i powered a N16 once with QG18de own ecu and it gave around 10-11 local and 15-15.5 on long.
So basically QG13 ecu is making it run rich.
Now after this, I'll say owners ko aware karna is my job and i did told them about everything.
And as @capsat said if you block one nostril you will not die, likewise i just said putting on few km's on this QG13 ecu the blocked nostril will not make it dead. And mein tukka nai laga raha.
If you only talk about QG more than 25-30 swaps meine sirf QG kay hi kiye hain so im far more experienced to sense whether engine will die or not.
