The board mentions something like thousands of years, I think. Because it says 'I have seen the times of prophets.'
The Forest rest house at Kamal Bun was built in 1863, and is still standing. It is a very secluded place, with surrounding jungle, and a small stream singing nearby...The view is not 'Commanding', as we expect in most of such places picked up by the British. It is rather thrust deep into a recess.Must be cold in the winters....
The coal is difficult to ignite, but once it catches fire, the heat is wonderful. We were able to BBQ some meat in 1 hour, while some of the team had a walk.came back late in the evening. Reached Abbottabad something like early night.overall a reasonable trip for a day. The off road track was the most interesting bit of the trip.
Awesome Boss, is it possible to visit in December? what about night stay with family? also guide the route from Mansehra onward....
The track is difficult to tackle in snow, and it is going to snow in the next month. In December or January, you may have to walk up around 6-7 km in snow, which may not be possible with family. No accommodation, except the rest house which needs to be arranged by contacting the forest department.Shortly I will be posting something on the other thread, jeppable / offroad tracks. Check out that also.Otherwise, whenever you wish to travel ask me about the road condition. I will try to update the information.

It is a good vehicle. 75 is rare to find, in a 6-cyl engine. More common in B3. 78 may be found, more easily. There is one in Abbottabad, I will enquire about it, and let you know if it is up for sale.Ranger
thankyou so much sir ........no problem if its 3B.if you can find a chassy only or auction condition rig then it will be great....if possible take some pictures, owner contact details.

Happy New Year 2012 to all friends
The Front Suspension was overloaded because of the heavier engine (Toyota 14B vs Mercedes 616). On bumps, the engine block was hitting the differential casing. We tried by inserting a plate below the front coil spring, but it did not work, the newly gained height was lost within a few days.
Therefore, we inserted helper springs on the inside of the original springs. These are springs of a smaller diameter, and also with lesser load bearing capacity, and most probably from a Honda Accord, or may be some other vehicle. These successfully elevated the height of the vehicle. We removed the extra plates that we had installed earlier.
We managed to insert them in a wrong way, but later re-opened the whole assembly, and successfully altered and inserted them correctly.
Good job ranger, so I hope now u hav made ur vehicle ready for the snow cross at Malamjabba, how many 4x4 u r bringing
We are definitely participating, but we do not know how many of us, or how few of us will be coming....Will communicate as soon as we have sorted our end out.
When we started off on Sunday, it was overcast, with some rain.Near Ahl, some snowfall started, and there was bit of snow on the ground. Nothing fancy. When we reached Sharkool, it was late, and we had a great meal by the fire in the open air.Snow started falling heavily...............
