DeeDee, could I ask you a question? Are you based at Lahore? If so, could you find a tyre dealer importing tyres from China?
Reason: The tyres that I bought for my MOG from Taxilla were imported from China, and they are primarily meant for excavators, etc. I think wider tyres, and a bit larger circumference may be available. But I don't have free access to importers of tyres. Mostly they are based at Karachi and Lahore. May be you could find someone at Lahore.

Dear Friends,
The Off-Roaders Unlimited had a humble presentation at the Snow Cross 2010. Due to the special interest, we participated with a UNIMOG, and Austing Gypsy.
Our Success Rate was around 50%, as 'only' one of our vehicles broke down on the way, (and incidentally blocked the way for all !).
Any way, While going uphill, We found stuck traffick, and a bit of snow, and a machine clearing away snow and 'SPOILING' all the fun. Later we did find another tractor as well, doing exactly the same.
Our Chairman got cold hands (not cold feet).

Dear Friends, a time came, when the UNIMOG could not handle the uphill climb without chains. So, we had to fit chains, originally manufactured in Mandian, for size 16 tyres. So, you know that it needed help of every one, even Master Daniyal and Master Salman. And of Course, our patron-in-chief, Professor Javed.
This was a time when things started getting cold. And around time, when the Gypsy called it a day. (well, a snowy day)
Any way.......

This was about time that we received help from other clubs.
The first was in the form of a very sharp knife, to cut the rope to fit the chains.....
and eventually the chains had to surrender to our sheer determination, and fit onto size 20 tyres....

At the hotel, we received warm welcome, with burning logs, all the way from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Lahore</st1:place></st1:City>, by 4 x 4 Engaged, and it was definitely a pleasure meeting all our electronic friends. Aamir sahib was extremely courteous, and so was every one else.
All were very willing to help.
However, we felt like ‘locals’ and decided to leave the luxury of the hotel early……..
