As I stated before, no comparison between old Corolla Altis with the new one. First of all, the shape of new Altis is much better. Lights, mirrors, bumpers, everything. It looks a little bigger in size as well. Sunroof has also added to its beauty a great deal. Interior & leather seats look much more impressive. Its power steering is much more efficient. I've installed 17" alloy rims with 225/50 tires in my new Altis, and still steering doesnt get hard at all. While driving I feel that I'm still having the stock 15" rims on. Even at the speeds above 120km/h, the drive remains very smooth, calm & comfortable. Room is very quiet. Older model has this problem of engine's noise coming into the room a bit. Cruise control is a very useful feature, specially for those who travel on the motorway from Lhr to Islamabad frequently. This feature has really made the drive very comfortable indeed. New Altis's Pioneer cd/mp3 player is far better than the previous corollas' music tapes/cd players. Offering plenty of options, look and great output as well. Its the first time ever that I didnt ve to change the stock cd/mp3 player in a car. Overall, its a much better car than what we're used to get from Pakistani Corolla makers. Few may say that the older Altis is a bit faster than the new one, but whats the use if the drive is not all that comfortable, and lacking in looks too.
