Hello everyone. I am using scb credit card for my purchases on ali express but realised that scb charges around 5% more than open rate. 2.5% charges for foreign currency plus higher dollar rate like 107 these days.

I want to ask which are the cheaper cards that have good security and lesser verification problems with Ali express. I have ubl debit card, scb debut plus cc, alfalah bank debit card.

Isn't the NOC required for electronic items that use a sim card? I wasn't aware that an NOC is required for GPS devices as well. There's nothing on the PTA website to that effect. It says NOC is required only for devices that use a SIM card.

Yes, but my Tablet Pcs were detained for 3 months because they had wifi only. But now PTA exempted wifi devices but I am not sure about GPS. I just suspec it.

I bought one last year in August. Unit cost was $470 including dhl shipping. Declared value on the package was ~$130/140 and it was delivered in 13 days. While the DHL person brought a customs receipt of 4200rs that i paid at my doorsteps and collected the package.

I emailed PTA about this. They responded by saying that GPS devices do not need an NOC from PTA.

First they add 3% dollars for conversion then charge at 107. so on a total about 110.8 was charged in my last transaction.
