I emailed PTA about this. They responded by saying that GPS devices do not need an NOC from PTA.

I bought one last year in August. Unit cost was $470 including dhl shipping. Declared value on the package was ~$130/140 and it was delivered in 13 days. While the DHL person brought a customs receipt of 4200rs that i paid at my doorsteps and collected the package.

As long as it uses a SIM card, it will need approval from PTA

Yes I'm really satisfied as i got some extras plus the unit has been working pretty decent till now.
I guess it's better then rockMars, i haven't checked the high end versions of rockmars but there was one available on 20k and my unit has much better sound output and display compared to it.
Bought it for vezel and back then it was a good buy. Nowadays i guess a lot of options ate available locally so it's better to get one from here with warranty. The warranty claims on AE purchases isn't the same due to the distance and communicating barrier

Been there done that.....PTA wont issue NOC for gPS Trackers.....mark my words.
