Actually it's not like that. Technically Xiaomi phones are not banned, rather no one got approval to import and sell commercially... Which is a must by law.

They didn't ban the brand or phone, rather they restricted the seller to not to sell without approval.

By law, importer/brand/vendor is required to get Type-Approval from PTA before they can sell communication devices in Pakistan. This is universal and not specific to Xiaomi phones.

There is no issue in importing or selling or using any Xiaomi accessories/products other than the unapproved communication devices.

Wassalaam.
The unit is performing as it should, fine. Been a year exactly and no problems till now. Except for the fact that the seller claimed the steering buttons would be compatible, which they weren't and no local electrician has been able to make them work properly. So i gave up on it, got a few thousand returned for that.
The rest in really satisfied with it, the sound, the working and everything is satisfactory.

I have a query regarding AliExpress Pocket. Mostly there is shipping in orders but after negotiations with seller its waived off.

The procedure is such that we have to place order and then cancel it before entering card details so seller can modify price. Now in case of Aliexpress pocket is the payment instantly or its possible to cancel payment after clicking placing order.
