budd i agree with your angle BUT why is it so expensive?? a local civic only cost around 850 in 1996, now look at the price of a loaded civic. how much was the cultus back when it was introduced in PK? and how much is this car (with ABS)?
This is also made in PK and has little to no improvements over the 1983 model cultus. why are local cars so expensive and why are people willing to pay so much for somehting which doesn't even cost HALF as much to make???
what i don't get is so many people say the answeer is inflation or has something to do with the exchange rate of the rupee,.. but if these things are being made in PK using pakistani made parts then why would such things matter???? i could understand if initially parts were inported and slowly they were being replaced with indiginous parts, which woudl bring the prices down,.. but that JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN.
simple truth is in my signature,.. "a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" and in this case suzuki (like all the local manufacturers) know that in PK people REALLY have more money than sense.
just stop buying this cack for one year and you'll see that they'll offer massive discounts, more safety and luxuty features as standard AND immediate delivery etc. it happens on the rest of the world but sadly our buying public is either too stupid or too ignorant to realize that.
anyhow, i've said my bit, and no matter how much common sense i try and inject into this thread the bottom line is that peoples buying decisions are NOT going to be influenced by my rational thinking. it's going to be influenced by many other factors,.. and NONE of them is going to include safety of the occupants of these cars.

Do note this is not a direct attack at suzuki (fanboys), it is and always will be my mission on this site to try and open your eyes as to how badly the local mafia is ripping you off,... and how willingly you beg them to take your money and offer you a sh*t car with pathetic sales, build quality, no safety feautes, barely any standard extras and miserable after sales.
