Hello,

I bought Wagon R VXL in January this year. The issue i m facing, not a big one though, but still it is there, is that my car at times does not start in first self. I faced this problem even after few days of purchase. But at that time the temperature was quite cold, so i thought may be the car was new and because of cold temperature, it at times did not start in first self.

But now weather has changed and I guess this problem has increased a bit also. Like now i face this problem (car not starting in first self) almost daily 2/5 starts. (Like if i start a car 5 times a day, 2 times it wont start in first self)

Is anyone else facing this issue? Is this some known issue with VXL models?

I m planning to take car to suzuki workshop to ask them about this issue.

Do not push accelerator pedal before starting. Otherwise u shall consult ur mechanic.

I never did that. I was told on the very first day of purchase that, do not use accelerator when starting car. And i never did that, but even then, it at times starts in second self.

as i have heared in new autopolicy which will be in effect from july this year that new cars will be equipped with immoblizer airbags etc so is this right time to buy wagonr ?
as maybe suzuki will add air bags in it ?

Not sure about additional features but yesterday I went to showroom to collect my number plates so they were saying that there are strong chances of more raise in price but not sure how much may be 10 to 20 thousand more. I also got the invoice from suzuki which states the total price of car is about 8.20 lacs (cant remember exactly) and rest is sales tax which is about 2 lacs. I will quote the exact figures later on.

I have driven my wagon r for 2k....i want to ask when to do oil change.... Someday said to do first time at 1500.... Do i need to change oil instantly to be on safe side.....

No need...change at 5000 or do it at 4000km

Its not ok. Check ur car through 3s to fix problem. My wagy driven 25k bt i didnt face such in problem in cold or warm season. Start at first push

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I will take it to Suzuki workshop. Lets see what they say.

I read somewhere on internet, may be in review of Wagon R VXL on PakWheels, some other guy was also facing this same issue on his new VXL.

But I will take my car to workshop, and update you guys what they say.

Ideal Tyre size seems to to be inconclusive so far, on the page, as best recommended Size i,e 165-65-13 is not common in the market, whereas members with 175-70-13 have shared the issues .There are variety of tyre sizes aval with General Tyres which cant compete the international brands but still not bad choice

I was planning to buy Wagon R, today i test drove my cousins Wagon R. I noticed the car was shaking little bit on 80 to 100 km/h. Is this happening with all wagon R owners or did only I felt it or It was some kind of my WEHAM??

It is happening with all w r. issue can be resolve after installing new tyres.

Driving my wagon r, with stock General tyres, since december end last year. so far done 3200 kms. taken it to lahore from islamabad both on motorway and GT road many times plus to monal (islamabad) ayubia & patriata (murree) havent faced any such issue. may be your cousin's Wagon r tyres are over inflated or it needs some wheel balancing.

One is suppossed to pay entire cost of the car at the time of booking. No partial payments are accepted.

press the clutch while turning ignition key for a start and make it a habit. If problem not solved thn you should visit 3S.
