This has been discussed quite many times. This sticker is just by Pak Suzuki, the actual grade mentioned in the original manual (given by Pak Suzuki) is 0W20. You may check my previous posts and see the snapshot of the manual saying this.

sir have used 10w40 sgo for initial 10k km, used sgo 5w30 energy efficent for next 5k km and now switched to 0w20 as its the most suited oil forget about temprature of karachi I can recall a post of @xulfiqar where he mentioned his current location in US and he says its equally hot as multan and people pour 0w20 in their toyotas as its the recommended oil by manufacturer.

My new wagon R VXL 2017 model just driven 500km and audio system lights are OFF and its not functional now. What is the cause? Is it some fuse issue?or some settings issue?

Seems your fuse is blown, check it the fuse box is under stearing column. there will be a schematic diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover. the fuse you are looking for will be light blue color 15A fuse marked as "accessory"

you are missing "cold weather".
In Japan even in Summer weather does not get too hot. While in Pakistan temperature goes upto 50 in some parts. Rest is your choice if you want to fry your engine early with this much thin oil.

Go with Suzuki Pakistan recommendation. They are not fool that they are selling 10W-40 despite the fact they can easily order manufacturing of "0W-20" in Pakistan. These days, Total Lubricants is the vendor of Suzuki oils.

PS is actually fools. They just want to sell their shyt i.e. the 10w40. I say this because it took them decades to launch their 5w30 oil. This oil was launched just recently in Nov/Dec 2016!! Check their website. They were celebrateing this launch. Semi synthetic oils were in Pakistan since 2010 and mighty PS launched it in 2016!

Bhai, i have been using 10w40 in my 2006 Lancer with 150K km on th ODO. U expect me to use the same oil in a 2014 model car too?!

K10b engine was launched in 2014, it is a new engine, dont require thick oils.

Man even if you use "10W-40" your Wagon R engine will do 200K without needing to be overhauled. Just make sure you keep it away from the hands of greedy road side idiots (mechanics and electricians) and never pour fake engine oils which are being sold in markets.

Even 5W-30 is better suited for Pakistani hot weather.

I never said that 10w40 would harm the engine, but i think thinner oil is comparitevly better for wagon r.
Also, instead of going for the grade, better see the table that i have prepared showing viscosity of various oils. That will helo u decide better.

Toyota Pakistan still uses 20W50 in their brand new Corollas and these cars are used carelessly in every corner of Pakistan by rent a car drivers. Still their engine clocks 4 to 5 lac Kms easily. Try that with 0W20 and see how much an engine last here in Pakistan.

As I use my car in peak hours both morning and evening it yields something like 12.5km/l to 13km/l with full ac. I drive with a moderate foot, car has 175/70/r13 tires and I keep tire pressure at 28 to keep the ride less bumpy. I guess 32 with light foot might yield more. Moreover just switched to 0w20 oil and I am pretty sure the fuel mileage will improve at least a km/l.

I just know one thing sir using a thicker oil will result in more sludge production means a lesser engine cleaning means a lesser life :). Rest I have witnessed my cars (waggy) drive with 10w40, 5w-30 and 0w20, the thinner the grade the lighter the car feels. We have a gli 1lakh odo still runing 5w30 no oil reduction and no noise in engine. Engine is still at its 99% if not 100%

Even if you are able to squeeze one extra kilometer from a litre by using ultra thin oil 0W20 in this hot weather of Pakistan, and reducing the life of your car's engine in long run. Is this a wise trade-off?

Yes. My 11th Gen Gli came last year and at that time Petron 20W50 was the standard oil for all Corolla variants rolling out of factory. Now at oil change, I go for Taglon but I have to ask them for it. Otherwise as a standard, they pour in Petron 20W50. All Corollas from government, private companies, big multinational fleets, rent a car vehicles, are treated with Petron.
