Wow! Talk about making an impact. Well done IJC! Asad, NN and the gang hats off to you guys for perseverance.
Mashallah! Its indeed no small achievement for Team IJC to have dominated the A Category podium in a major event far far away from their home grounds! Very happy for and proud of Asad Marwat, Doc NN, Pinks, Zohaib Jadun!
Subhanallah, what a lovely feeling this morning to look back over last few days... NN was down with flu during last week but mustered the strength boosted with anti-flu medication to brave it out there.... Spoke to him just after the results announcement which came as a surprise to him as until that point he thought he was 4th! I cannot describe the happiness and emotions in his voice
More and more people moving to B stock cars.... not good! need to start looking for a 1GR-FE
The Thar Desert Challenge 2012 : Qualifying Results
i want to know what afzal haq drives... whatever it is, its 2nd by some margin!
I think Afzal Haq os the extended Jimny of the Barchundis....Sarfaraz Dhanji is Nissan Patrol with 2JZ-GTE and Abbas Akber with 4.0L Vigo...
Interesting Quotes: Rana Sumair to NN (after qualification run) : Aap ne suspension kon sa lagaya hai?NN : Iss mein (NPP) koi suspension nahin hai!RS: Mera matlab hai suspension kiss company kaa dala hai?NN: Sirf Tokico ke do extra shocks aagey lagayey hain!

noticed no 3rd place in B stock. Can any1 get their hands on a timing sheet? also noticed there are only 4 B stock vehicles in the rally??? alas missed opportunity to get a podium on debut even while driving really really slow. Hai Kismat!
why does it say sarfaraz dhanji A stock... have they changed the categories?
Noman Saranjam and 4th B Vigo were both DNFs from what I understand...Yes, indeed missed sure shot podium
LOL! proof you dont need to spend gazillions on aftermarket suspension to get a podium... made any new changes to the uzi?
Raheel Summa, driving a 5 door Gen-III Pajero, 3000cc gasoline engine with automatic transmission came 3rd in B Category
Oh shucks, there goes your podium Yaser
Tentative dates for Jhal's Rally announced, its 11th till 13th of January, 2013.
Lahore/Islamabad participants will have to leave by road on 9th evening
Hahahahahah! ah well, no use crying over spilt milk :P... koi naheen sab ko dikhaein ge!
Thats the spirit Yaser, you have a competitive 4x4 and age is on your side, polish your skills a bit in a rally or two, Inshallah you will be a podium contender in every situation
Thanks for the encouragement qasim, i know my visit to your place is long over due... will set up a meeting time this coming weekend if ure available. i hear you have a treasure chest of in-car videos that i need to look at
Let me know when you are ready, we can go together if you want.
One can practice a bit in Ravi River bed but its not high speed as there are too many turns and tracker trolleys there. Besides river bed is all sand and this would only be a good practice ground for Cholistan and Mithi.
Jhal is mostly dusty so would suggest that you look for hard surface dirt tracks in DHA Phaze 6 or 8, there are many places where they are making new roads, choose one with some turns and that is all you can find around Lahore
Anytime my dear, you are more than welcome
Suhaib, any chance of getting un-abused, 2-3" backspaced rims, 15-16" at city saddar? something on the lines of procomps? 6x5.5 bolt pattern
Its kinda tough to find backspaced rims in 16 inch size, you can find them in 15s out here. You can probably find them with additional 1 inch or so of backspacing in 16s for Surf / Prado... Once tried to put on 3 inch back spaced 15 rims on 2003 Surf, and they looked horrendous for some reason and didn't fit on the front due to brake calipers or something. We ran spacers in both rallies with 16 inch rims which was a comprise but seems to be still working out, though not sure if its recommended with IFS...
