Post screenshot of phone info containing firmware info.

Always read and follow the stuff that is posted AFTER your firmware version. E.g. if your firmware is released on 10 December 2014, try to read and follow instructions that are posted after 10 December 2014, as sometimes old techniques don't work on newer firmwares.

Do you want to remove bloatware and add some new features?. If yes which new features?.

Custom roms for your phone are not very stable. Infact you can tailor stock rom to fit your needs via rooting. That is more stable and beneficial.

But do post your exact firmware info, exact model number and android version to get rooting help.

Guys I've lg optimus g pro American version AT&T, I want to upgrade, officially I can't upgrade unless I use the AT&T SIM card, any other way to do so? It's running 4.1.2, model is E 980

If you have a unbranded HTC amaze 4g then follow this thread carefully, read everything first then understand it then apply it on your phone.

Ram extension using microsd. Only suitable for low end phones.

They work just ok, as microsd cards are very much slower than the speed of ram. Class 10 or faster speed memory cards work good.

If phone gets slow, check free ram available. If it is less than 75-50 mbs available, then you may need to either extend it or close some apps.

Settings > application manager > running.

However, I prefer greenify, as it hibernates (closes) apps when they are not being used, hence freeing ram and conserving battery consumption.

Your phone shows android 4.4.4, but previously you wrote 4.4.2 :p. This type of mistake will brick your device. I will share the link tomorrow for that.

Please double check the kernel flashing instructions. The procedure will downgrade kernel, root phone and then update kernel. So mistakes are not allowed.
