Dear All concerned.
I have been to honda manga mandi for several reasons and have been asking various things about city from the relevant people. I am myself an engineer. I agree with you. Honda had to place city ina price where they could compete with corolla XLi. Honda focussed most on engine, brakes. Even otherwise City is meant to be a car for low budget, where there is only a need of an economical family car. If they had inducted wishbone suspension then they had to sacrifice the trunk space. However, you can instal HID lights instead of standard ones if you have some visibility problem, i agree with you, in most of the places in Pakistan we need powerful lights, a standard 55W bulb is not sufficient.
The roads we have in Pakistan, specialy within the cities are not meant for high speeds, so much so, we cant even drive at 120km/hr on GT road comfortably. It is just Motorway where we have a stretch for high speed, but do we travel on Motorway everyday?
Lets say, for instance we do drive, for instance at 170km/hr, what if our tire gets punctured? How shall we handle at this speed, even if a tire gets punctured at 100, it becomes very very difficult to handle.
So, in this budget City is a reasonable car, atleast it is not underpowered. And VTEC is always better than VVTi. please do watch video of Vtec engine on youtube and also dual vvti, you will see the clear comparison yourself. Now if we focus on car safety, sturiness, it is only Volvo that stands major bumps from pour traffic, buit how many volvos do we have? do we have any sales room or dealer of volvo? None. But my 27 years of driving experience tells, whenever you drive, always recite Ait ul kursi 3 times, i assure you, your car will never be bumped, from anywhere. Even if somebody fires a 155mm howitzer shell from SP, it wont hit you even.
