By reading all the braking complaints - it seems that everyone wants their corolla to stop within 20 ft at 100 km/h.
anyways - the reason you see it being driven the most is because most off market (read stolen and smuggled) parts are cheaply available, and hence no hard work in repairs, just throw out the assys and replace with another, no guess work.
as everyone in Pakistan is a car dealer wannabe - they will buy this famous eskalai in the name of resale and because the manufacturer knows that they are selling to a bunch of "I LOVE MY TOYOTA" people who will draw theiir weapons on its "izzat" they have nothing to worry about. Infact if I were in marketing of Indus, I would have removed some more comforts in the name of profit, because its an understood fact that people will still buy it -
I would even rename the corolla XLi to Escalaye and introduce a model with factory installed black ribbon and baby shoe on the back tow hook, a peshawar edition too with naswaar dibbi in place of the ashtray.
And it would sell even faster than samosay 10 minutes before aftaar.
