I would like to share my experience
when I bought my Alto 2004 Model in Mar 2014 in Karachi it was in very bad condition. Ugly looks engine without engine oil worn out tires sound in suspension and ac not working

After a month?s hard work and almost spending Rs.120,000/- (Engine overhauled, Full Body dent Paint, New Suspension, New tires and AC Repaired) I converted into a drivable car.

And then I drove it from Karachi to Naran 4000KM drive in 10 days which I enjoyed with my family.

I m shifted to Lahore now It took me almost Rs.20,000/- (Excluding Freight) because of tank?s Fuel pump, Battery, AC Bearing & Misc wear & tear when I moved it through a car carrier in June 2015.

But after I have driven it 23000km it has started reducing oil in shape of carbon in silencer. Oil seller advised me to use ZIC 20w50 oil and drive 3000km (previously I was using shell helix 10w40)

I need an advise. Can I Use Liqi Moly oil u mention earlier if yes then which grade? Please advise.

well i don't know but i think problems you listed are problems with alto
no 1 it comes with Excedy clutch plate which is heavy duty and i've take mine to monal a few times with 5 ppl on board and i see corollas and cultuses struggle but not this car even clutch never smells
slow pick up yes in normal alto it is but just do some work on it and even on normal F10A it can keep up with efi cultus easily
rear shocks are ok but springs always go for japanesesprings
and milage well alto has one big issue is milage on petrol i tried to solve it by replacing jets it would give me 14 without ac in city but lack in pick was too bad my car was better in cng than patrol so i went to wrong way and got even bigger jets than stock ones and accleration is hell

and one more thing i see new cultus quality is bad really bad

u can use 20w 50 but thing is why it started reducing oil in just an year it means mech was not a pro and rebuild wi cost u 30 to 40k
if u want to keep this car
get engine swaped to K10A efi it will cost around 45k for auto one and 43 for maunal efi better milage and check rates in bilal gunj
as 660cc engines also are good but lack in power is bad

Well u cannchange oil first to 10w 40 lm
shell and other brands will look crap after use of lm

Its not oil in ur cylncer
Its carbon
Means car is running rich

The oil have good amount if zddp and its also diesel engine rated oil very good for cleaning purpose but would kill catconveter of modern car

Yups we are using lm 10w 40 super liechtlauf from 90 mehran altos and even an altis 1.8 sr
And this oil is good for every car
