Suzuki Kei Works 2005 Fuel Economy issue

Assalam o Alaikum!
I have a 2005 Suzuki Kei works, manual transmission, All Wheel Drive etc.
It has i think K6A engine, which was changed recently as previous one was ceased.
Currently i got a max 17 to 18 kmpl on highway without AC. at a speed of 80 to 90 Max.

Isint it too bad?

And within CIty it is giving me almost 10 to 12 with AC, thats terrible as i used to have Chevrolet Exclusive, which was notoriously bad for fuel average, still used to give me 16+ without AC within City.

Could you please help me what may be the issue. I drive mostly at low speed, at 50 to 60 within lahore , and there is very little traffic as my main route is canal road. still too bad fuel average.

I know AWD sucks but still i think, it should not cast so much effect on fuel average.

Further this engine is shit, 660cc gay engine. i was sitting with my friends, 4 person in car, and car couldnot climb the ramp of parking lot, we have to get out and they pushed the car kinda, although its manual, rpm was low, but hell, this engine 660cc is shit, its my first car with this engine.

I vought it, as i have heard that 660cc car give 18+ average within city, but this one is half.

Please suggest me what to do to fix fuel average, I am in Lahore.

Iridium spark plugs, 0w30 oil, clean sensors that give proper readings, tyre size, driving style etc. I'd say your fuel average is decent overall. If you want power then M13 or M15 swap using 1st gen ignis brackets and stuff is the only way to do it.

Fuel average is okaish, as i bought 660cc because of fuel average, and this things is againt that purchase decision. I drive within 3k rpm on highway and within city both, to prevent turbo spool, as i thibk after turbo spools this thing may start drinking petro. and also i have tested that turbo start pushing air after 3k rpm. Further, i think AWD is a culprit too.

Brother any recommendation, of which scanner will work i have ordered ELM v 1.5 but it didnot work even with SZ viewer app.

Also what if i swap M13 etc, i may need to change gearbox as that old gear may not work properly with it, as bigger engine and lower gear ratios. so i may need to ditch AWD funcation. but it may be a costly shit i think

jdm ignis/swift comes with awd on 1.3 and 1.5 models I think. Your car currently comes with a 4 speed automatic, while they are reliable they can never deliver good fuel efficiency of cvt equipped 660cc cars and your car is awd so extra losses as well. For an M series swap, you need to source a half cut car or get an experienced mechanic who does M swaps regularly like @dani_kk. He can better help you on this than me.
