Miss contributing info to this thread and most of all - My Swift. Now I have an old Mercedes W124 '90 model and a Nissan Navara 2011 2.5 Pickup.
PS- I used LM 5w40 and changed at every 5000km. After that, I started using Caltex 5w40 or was it 5w30 - cannot remember now. Golden can. Changed always oil and filter at 5000km. Even though LM dealer said with his hand on his heart that it will last for 15,000km.
I work in a large car workshop in Norway... VAG ( Volkswagen / Audi Group ), alongside Mercedes, BMW and some other brands implemented " LL = Longlife service " - No need to change oil before 30,000km or 2 years.... What happened to those cars? After warranty runs out at around 100,000km - Engine problems. EGR clogged, turboproblems and the list goes on. Now it is at 15,000km/20,000km....
Will upload some pictures of a Swift we have for sale in at work
