live in karachi. Yes Radiator reducing water but i just replaced radiator cap 0.9 bar Japanese made last week

Fan is working only when ac is on. Otherwise not turning on at all.

Car overheats when im in city traffic but perfectly fine when im on highway

Okay, that's fine, fan is supposed to start with AC turning on and otherwise it seldom needs to work.
... so the first culprit is why is water reducing in radiator (and reservoir). get that checked first. There seems to be a leak somewhere, get pipes, radiator, water pump, everything checked for a leak.
secondly, i've read somewhere that for Swift it should be 1.0 bar radiator cap, not 0.9. please check that too. a lesser than required bar pressure cap can also cause the water to leak and reduce in radiator, and cause overheat.
and thirdly ... get your thermostat also checked, a bad or stuck thermostat can also restrict coolant flow and cause the engine to heat up.

One important aspect i want to discuss is that i bought my swift new in 2013. Its only 46k driven. But its AC performance since many years (dont remember exactly) is like that it works good at night but in day its cooling is too less and zero for the person sitting behind (especially if i compare it with our 2013 mira es which starts throwing cool air immediately on start whatever is the temperature outside). It takes atleast 20 minutes for the car and that too without stops to start throwing reasonable cool air. Since i am mostly driving it alone so never gave it any importance and kept bearing day heat. One more thing that i never got my AC serviced in 7years. I keep my car engine section extraordinary clean. So what should i do? Get gas checked first or that black bottle replaced that contains oil i guess???

Get general checkup done. Swift actually has a good AC

There's a possibility your condenser's choked or isn't working properly.

I talked to Suzuki 3s and my trusted ac mechanic Suzuki asking around 8-9k including gas charges for complete servicing excluding any leakage repair charges
My mechanic asking 6500 for detailed servicing including gas charges

that's good, so did you check the car if it is heating up after fixing the radiator pipes ?
no thermostat is better than stuck thermostat .. but eventually when problem gets solved, try to get a new thermostat valve installed (for better health of engine in longer period of time).
if your heat gauge is faulty, then get that fixed too.

Its still heating. Strange thing is when i switch ac on heat niddle slowly moves down and when ac is off temperature rise. Maybe fan is running with ac that's why it comes down, i think its either something with fan or temperature gauge. Swift only has one fan. It should work with ac and without ac when car heats up, but fan is only running when ac is on otherwise it's not running at all. Is there some temperature sensor in swift that tells fan to turn on or tell gauge where the niddle should be ?? Its hell lot of confusion 🤣

hmm, that is strange....
yes, get your heat gauge and temperature sensor checked, something seems fishy about it, like how it moves up and down..something seems wrong with its sensor or wiring.
yes, Swift has only one fan and it turns on after switching on AC, but without AC fan also turns on when engine needs cooling.
: ( i am not sure whom to contact in Karachi, maybe take it to suzuki to get an idea !

okay, for ease of understanding, let's break down the steps that you have followed.
A) u already got the radiator serviced.
B) you got the radiator cap replaced. the correct pressure bar cap is 1.1 bar.
C) you got all the pipes checked for leakages, you got the thermostat checked (it is not installed in your car) and you got also the water pump checked, it is functioning fine, right ?
D) your car's fan is working with turning the AC on.
E) heat gauge is going up and sometimes not coming down to C even after engine is cooled down , right? and sometimes it moves up and down with switching the AC on and off.

yes, that is true, sensors, fan and gauge check is electrician job. but a good workshop offers both electric and mechanical diagnostics and fixes, so take it to any good worthy workshop. they will give it a detailed analysis if the heat gauge is not working properly, or maybe the cooling fan needs repalcement as it is spinnning but not at full power ... and also check your radiator cap again (as i read it is 1.1 bar pressure for Swift)

Yes fan working only with ac.

Heat gauge reads too high in city traffic and below middle on highway even reads low on highway. Even when i switch off car heat gauge comes down but not till C

Bro instead of doing so much hectic research just go to most reliable Suzuki 3s in ur city and get only the problem diagnosis done from them and get the issue highlighted by them from outside

Generally.. radiator fan should switch on when temp needle cross middle.. if not switching on. Then switch on ac and fan is on.. it means your heat sensor is faulty which is not switching on radiator fan...

Hi. i have to change the tyres on my swift. i went to an authorized dealer of Yokohoma to get Advan Db but came to know that its not available. they had yokohoma blueearth. does anyone have blueearth on their swift?if yes then hows the experience?better than Advan Db? any other brand which runs better on swift?

U should search for Advan DB from elsewhere there nothing that is not available in Pakistan. I am using Advan DB and they are really good. And now its newer version must be available i waited for it but the tyres were getting expensive so bought the available version at that time
