Zahid Bhai you are absolutely right, the pace of deforestation will leaves us nothing but worst climatic changes that we are already observing/facing.
How long it takes:
from rawalpindi to mingora 4.5hrsmingora to kalam and 4hrskalam to mahodand lake? 2.5-3hrs
Is it safe to camp at mahodand by sep end? yes sit, but night will be too cold & probably u'll all alone in the night.
We actually took a football with us in 2007

At this point water is divided in two mini streams
Right wing
Left wing
And they merge again

We spent some good 2 to 3 hours at the lake. As evening was approaching very fast- decided to head back. Some goodby/ evening shots of the lake.
