Any idea on how to "domestically" synchronize the carbs for my bike?
there is a specific tool for synchronizing carbs, they are used by VW owners all over the world. they are guages which measure the suction from the carb. they are called air flow guages and any decent mechanic should have them. try with the "ustaads" who work on rollas etc...
which bike?what type of carbs?
imran bhai was doing something HORRIBLE to the fzr carbs :D...perhaps he can enlighten us
not much into jap bikes...but ( a) carbs are slide or diaphram ( b ) does it have vaccum off take at the bottom on inlet manifold?
..and whats your bike doing that makes you want to fidget with the carbs
If there's not much problem with the carbs leave them as they are lest you should mess it all up to bad. Carbs need a bit of experience to work on, at least I wouldn't mess with them on my own.
Sorry guys... was away from town.A slide one that sometimes give me a feeling that it has more potential to fly than it currently does. Becoz i earlier had a leakage problem with the carbs. Fixed it completely but my mechanic reduced to the fuel intake a bit. Plus i don;t remeber he synchronized them. Thats why, otherwise its rockin.
... but i guess i'll take the word from 7thgear. Coz i don't want to open em up again. this time they are well adjusted. the mechanics part is almost done with the bike ready for a long run. The forks though.... they r yet to arrive.
cbx 750 have carb manufacturing fault when u park the bike turn the fuel cock off thts we do other wise it will start droping
