Thanks @mitsu_man! Its a pleasure to hear from you and your appreciation means a lot. Unfortunately it seems that Mr. Magsi's paranormal advisors had been harbouring some similar views ever since my morning Bhairvi fiddling in the 11th. Resultingly, everytime we passed by the Magsi camp (near the end of the track) something or the other seemed to go a-miss. Lost UZi's front wheel on recce and lost the engine on raceday within 3-5 kms of the Magsi camps.
On raceday, about 15 kms from the finish, as we approached a dune, we saw a well set up camp with large shamianas and a number of cars on the right of the track. Guessing that it could only be the Magsis, I must admit my guilt in staging the most roaring and crackling flypast, with the FJ hopping and jumping along the track at 90kmph+ as the un-muffled UZi repeatedly rev cut the second gear replicating something quite close to machine gun fire. Some 5 kms down we heard crackling sounds out of the engine and lost all power to come to a standstill with what appeared to be a broken cam shaft seal having drained a lot of oil. The engine did not overheat as such, but something went wrong internally. Somewhat uncharacteristic of a 1UZ but this particular baby had served us well and perhaps outlived its second reincarnation as the UZi!
