Welcome on PG.
first of all brother all 70cc bikes available in our market give you 50 to 65km fuel average. I never saw any 70cc bike which gives exactly 70km average or more then 70km, except a Sohrab bike old model around 2002/2003 which was giving above 70km average according to my neighbor.
Now coming to the topic. I will share my experience. I have seen many PakHero and Metro bikes on lahore roads, it means both these companies have a very good sale or at least their selling campaign is successful in lahore market.
I own a black Metro 70cc. Bought new one back in 2006. After a year or two the bike fuel tank near seat reveals the true color of the bike which was red. I was shocked coz i bought the bike in black color not in red. The first question came in my mind does Metro company using second hand fuel tanks with new paint layer for their bikes????
Any way, this bike does not have a good quality at all. Gear ratios are very small. The thing i hate about this bike is its gear system which for sure stucks & sucks during changing to next gear. The only best thing about Metro is its fuel average it for sure gives around 65km when the bike is new, later it comes down to near 60km. Also depends on the rider how he drive the bike and in which condition and atmosphere.
In 2006 my friend bought a pakhero and another friend bought his bike around 2003. The thing i like about PakHero bike is its gear ratio seems much better then metro. Overall build quality is same as metro but in my opinion it seems better hardly 1 or 2% then metro. Another thing i came to know about Pakhero is the company was also producing good quality bikes like honda in past. my friend 2003 pakhero is for sure better then all after wards new pak heroes in terms of over all quality and build.
Another guy own Road prince, he told me he bought his new bike but within a year bike engine need to be open. He suggest me buy any thing like pakhero , metro or any 3rd company bike but never buy road prince and don't suggest it to any new buyer. Also the quality of Road prince engine parts are worse then other 70cc bikes.
Last week i drove a 70cc bike don't remember the brand name it was some thing like starting from G or S. My mind was blown away with the long gear ratios and that comfortable seat of that bike. It was way much better and smoother then pak hero and metro's. I was really surprised because it was also 70cc bike. Seat was different then other brands but not that much. It does have some nice curves.
If i were in your situation.
I would buy the following bikes with preference.
- That G or S name bike coz of its comfortable seat, smooth ride no khar khar sounds and nice gear ratios which i like.
- Pakhero because of its good resale in lhr market and no gear shifting problems.
- Metro I will never buy any product again a big no to them.
- Any 3rd company depending on bike owners suggestions.
Now make your choice and happy hunting
Last thing i want to say to all members:
Always try to ask bike help/suggestions/experience from a person who actually own the particular bike. Because my friends no one can guide you or tell you better then bike owner. He ride it, he sure have some experience with it and he truly knows the cons and pros of their ride.
and yeah never ask any thing from bike showrooms owners/dealers. They have to sell their bikes, they will never tell you truth and will always miss guide you:D
