Objection! It was not dry pavement, it was dry kacha. I am proud of it. Now, coming back to you, please, don't dodge the initial comment, you want me to start showing videos?? I can guarantee I cannot find a video of you "Jacking up the vehicle, filling in the hole with soil, stones etc or covering it with a bridging ladder"!
The way we do it at 4x4 Engaged? If car is not in 4Low, put it in. Give it gas, reverse, forward, reverse, forward, you will find you have dug deeper than what you imagined, trouble, call JRS (Janj Recovery Services), JRS will first come and say "Laalay, phir phass gaya hain", you will have to give that embarassing smile, then JRS will initate. First, two to three people will jump on the side skirts, bumpers, overhangs, start jumping around in unison, tell you to give it more gas, then you find the hole is bigger. Find tow strap, try to take out lightly at first, it won't work, tow-er will take a run up, driver of stuck vehicle will get a whiplash and neck ache, chassis or stuck vehicle will extend by 2 inches, and tow strap will break. Then you will take another tow strap, and try again, until the vehicle comes out.
Do any of the 4x4 Engaged? members disagree? That's why we love going off road. The objective is not to do stuff easily, it is to get very stuck!
And to the newbies, I'm just kidding. We're very careful
