Its just called a ... 'Midlife Face-lift'.
The companies usually change the headlights, taillights, rims etc. but the basic chassis and body stays the same.
They usually pull off this stunt when the sales are slumping. I guess 2010 model should get the face-lift.
(Btw... I've noticed that the Honda Civic is a failed model in the Middle East... I think pakis should get over the honeymoons they are having with hondas)
Agreed that the car is a failure in Australia too, Although surprisingly 1.8 Toyota Corolla Ascent (almost similar but better to Altis) and 1.8 Toyota corolla Edge (hatch back) have done well againt rivals. The corolla is the only car with no slash in price even though there was a recession and a sales havent droped much either. This model was introduced in 2007 here and still continues but with mostly black elegant interiors.
