I'd love to know who your mechanics are and I'd love to meet you after my exams for the simple reason that I don't have much experience in building such unique stuff and I want to turn my 80's convertible range rover into something fast with amazing 4x4 capabilities. Jazak Allah, brother. Once I am done with some of the projects that are currently underway, I plan to build a trike if Allah wills it (but not a reverse trike like the Morgan 3 Wheeler pictured here). I'm personally more inclined towards something like this...

The SEMA hot rod (based on an FJ40) you posted is one of the cars that originally served as inspiration for the Sleipnir.

This is a great shot of the pickup tub rear, and it looks really cool. Forgive me for being biased, but I think ours is going to be even better looking, God willing.

before you chop off the tail & finish the project please put up the tub wheels etc & rig everything in place as finished product, go for a long TEST RUN bumps ditches cornering clocking speed run. Hope all goes well afterwards chop the tail as you plan and do the finishing touch.

am not sure but I have a feeling after reading every detail about your efforts something about stability during cornering seems to be " turn par tail mar rahi hai " situation,

In a way, brother...these cars DO belong to the larger community, in general. I mean...there's a lot of good wishes, critique, constructive judgement, advice and opinions going in from so may people. And each suggestion, each 'red flag' raised by well-wishers serves to help improving in areas which I may have personally overlooked.

So, yes...this car is definitely "ours" rather than "mine".

Boss, duly noted. The extra length is going to be lopped off in any case, but there are a host of weight-adding measures which we have in mind to combat wheel-spin and improve upon traction. First, the tyres themselves. The only reason I'm choosing the Coopers over the Goodyears is because the grip and control of the former is likely to considerably surpass that of the latter. We're also placing the fuel tank well to the rear so that the weight of the tank (about 25 odd kilos), and the weight of the fuel (about 100 kilos) act in tandem to provide a semblance of ballast.Then, there will be batteries, spare wheel, the bumper, the weight of the tub itself. We also have the option of adding steel plate(s) under the pickup tub for more weight, if required. If all of this doesn't do the trick...well, wouldn't it be so much fun to see a full-blown truck, tailing around like a fish out of water?

The paint WILL be perfect, Insha Allah. I'm much inclined towards painting her a shade of very dark green...British Racing Green (or BRG, as it's called). This (in addition to being "Pakistan" colour) should offset the chrome work spectacularly...and there's going to be a LOT of chrome work.

My younger brother was here over the weekend, and he's given me another terrific idea. That is, to offset the paint AND chrome with beech wood accents. I'd love to see the dashboard fabricated out of beautiful, glossy blonde wood...with large-lovely black dials and chrome bezels. Perhaps the upper edges of the doors, too. Nice and smooth...perfect for that arm-draped-over-the-door look. Similar blonde wood planks in the tub. Perhaps some embellishments like this, at the base of the hood ornament.

And no, Faraz...you can't have the MR2.
