A friend of mine wants to put a 1N toyota diesel engine with auto tran in his 1984 civic. Is it a good idea and will it fit without much alteration?
its a bad idea architecnture of honda engines is opsite to toyotapls why 1n in civic ??
which model of civic as he must be aware of the diffrent directions of both engines in the bay ... if he wants to fit diesel in any way than lancer diesel engine fitting direction is the same as of civic.
he's looking to go the diesel way now so first engine name that caught his eye was the 1N with the auto tranits a 1984 civic (not the hatchback)
^^bad idea for a 3rd gen civic.
Not A Good Idea.....!! Better Change To TOYOTA Chassy 1st
if economy is the concern ask him to go for d15 3 stage vtec(with its wiring and ecu) complete1N is a troublesome engine.would give head issues and i am sure, wont find a good one anyways
1N diesel engine is disaster very sensitive to maintenance & cooling system.
