How do you find the power going up steep inclines? Did you get a chance to use the rear diff lock? Pls let us know your experience. Also are u using the stock tyres or shifted to M/T? IMC has skipped added features like VSC, Traction control, A-traction control, Hill start assist and Hill descent assist. I think this SUV still should prove its worth using its conventional 4x4 transfer case + rear diff lock. Thanks.

Had just talked to one of the top management, according to him due strike from 5 to 19 may, they had delivery problems. Since they dont hold a single vehicle as stock so have to stop production. in between 15 to 19 they start using NLC trucks which were not part of strike and started production of fortuner on 24 hours basis and also holding corolla production to clear customers of May. In April they produced 234 fortuners and till yesterday they have produced 289 in May. lets c when our vehicle will come

It’s been now almost three months since I switched from Civic X Turbo to Fortuner as my daily driver …………. and since then I’ve not gone back ……….. I’ve done thoroughly enjoyable 4,500KMS on the new car ……….. driven it to Kalam …………. explored tracks in Margalla hills ……….. gone to places in soon valley ………… not much but still much more than I’ve been doing in a sedan earlier …………… I think if you don’t go into comparisons and just start enjoying what you’ve got ……….. you’ll not be disappointed at all!!! …………..

Thanks!!! with all this mix terrain driving ........... I'm getting around 7 KPL .......... Once I drove to Lahore and came back to Islamabad via M2 ........ and got around 8.5 KPL with 120 KPH constant speed ..........

Its in between Besham and khwazakhela swat called Shangla top where from you further ride steep up in the woods towards malam jabba.. Its a restricted access and serious off-road only with nerve wracking bends and turns on the edge of deep gorges all hard mud terrain with a mix of dry lucky patches where you can stop relax and take photos ...
Photos taken were at a place where it was the easiest otherwise you cant put your focus off.
Used 4x4 H all the way except at place used 4x4 L to be on safe side where it was all mud and steep angle incline a few kilometers short of malam jabba where our heads are on headrest like take off position ... Its a shortcut jeep Only track..
Never needed rear difflock though...
Fortuner climbed with 7 adult passengers and two kids on board and their all luggage stuffed in style and ease AC on through out to prevent fog on windscreen though it was 14C outside.
Never lost traction.. Swapped my OEM tyres with Kumho STX 285/60/18.
Done more than 2800km in last 4 days from Karachi.
Amazing Pakistan with such a variety of drive flavours and scenic landscapes.

on the way back it rained cats and dogs and hailed... Fortuner made it all possible with ease and the biggest credit goes to the exceptional triptronic gearbox with paddle shifters.
Returned from malam jabba from regular route towards mingora.

Thank you for sharing your experience .... the pictures are awesome ! I visited Malam jabba earlier this year in the skiing season. Was with my friend on his 1995 Surf and it was absolutely thrilling to drive on heavy snow covered tracks. Now I cannot wait enough for my Fortuner and put it to test.
Do you feel any difference in ride quality / noise when driving on asphalt with the Kumho tyres? And I blv those are M/T. tnks.

They are all season high performance tyres... With mud terrain tyres Fortuners will do exceedingly well off-roading but these all round tires didn't disappoint at all.
