i have toyota passo 2015..its stock tires are 165/65/R14...i changed it to 185/65/R14..but after chamging tires i get steerimg vibration a low speed..vibration tends to decrease above 60km/hr..i hv done wheel balancing twice but the problm seems to persist..the problm appeared exactly after tire change and car drive was okay with old tires..any solution please??
175/65 was a decent size for passo. 185 is too much for it. Plus you're ripping off your suspension and fuel economy at the same time. You'll notice drop in the pick too. Better go back to recommended tyre size. Or increase it to 175/65 maximum
i hvnt noticed any significant difference in pick and fuel consumption yet..but steering vibration has ruined the drive comfort it previously had..though it is not that much but still quite noticible..need a solution for it
thank you..i ll find tire which are 175/65/R14currently i hv put back the stock tires
They probably forgot to balance your wheels or didnt do it properly. Atleast get the front 2 rebalanced ASAP
Tire size has nothing to do with vibration.
i balanced it twice..its very little vibration at low speeds...its gone wen i replaced the new tires and put the old ones
the only reason i can think of is that 185/65/R14 is big for passo almost +4.1% more circumference then original recommended size i.e 165/65/R14
