Reached karachi on 11th sep 1.5 EX 4th Grade 2012 model,costed me 18.5 lacs including transportaion to Faisalabad. one confusion , as per auction sheet its 2012 model but customa at karachi charged me as per september 2011 model,,,can any one explain.

Check at oliac.com/autos its year and month of manufacturing. On auction site they mention year of registration.

Well it could be posible that in this auction report the year of reg maybe written. But what i think is that the year of manufacturing is written on the auction report everytime. Coz if we import a car which has 2011 on auction report and actually it has been manufactured in 2010 then the car would not be cleared from the customs in pakistan coz it will be 4 years old car and we are allowed to import a car upto 3 years old only

Have driven it 30K since the change of tyres and packing rear shock assembles, never felt the need to intentionally over speed and than take a sharp turn:) any car would loose grip if you did that... After all its not a track car, I mean how many times do you 'really" need to do that.
Even if it did and it meant a trade off, I would be happy to raise the inches and loose a bit of balance,(which I still doubt it will, unless you raised the front and rear abnormally) a few times in the life of my cars service, rather than get the car's belly to kiss every speed breaker every day.

I have 1.5 Prius- have installed a 1 inch packing at rear and changed tyres to 195/65/15 -
Doing so has increased the clearance by about 1.5 inches.
it hardly ever touches any speed breakers- have driven it at motorway speeds and locally, never felt any difference in handling, cant figure out the reason for complaints here!

yes I have learnt the braking techniques used to charge the battery pack over the course of my ownership, but sometimes just can't avoid flooring the pedal many times it is due to road rage and similar situations, many times when someone deliberately tries to give a flyby, I floor it, the other dude doesn't even get close to the tail of the car
not being biased but most of the time the ones messing with Prius are Hondas, both City and Civic.

I know right hahahah..... Happened to me quiet a lot of times at first i use to take it as a challenge press the PWR mode and at 50% throttle smoke the living lights out of Cities and Corollas or Swifts but now i just say ... SIR APP JAO APP KE SPORTS CAR HAI ILL GO SLOW AND MY POCKET WILL WIN THE RACE

After changing tyre size what was the impact on your fuel avg?

I changed from a 195 to 205 but before doing that i checked reviews on line and went through a lot of Prius Owner forums and can easily say that i dont regret changing to a bigger tyre... First as my prius is not the touring version it has a soft suspension it use to hit speed bumps and now nothing of that sort. 205 is a softer tyre and with a softer suspension the car feels like a Recliner with a Coffee mug. Grip is not phenomenal but No one buys a prius to race so no problems in that department. Mpg is better than before specially on highway drives and the the 15 inch Continental has a less surface contact so the car is virtually Silent inside.

whihc now cant be imported bcz it ended in about 2008

Yes its a good season to import a car, I.e. least duties will be charged on 2011 models, also Yen is under 1.
I imported a vitz in 2012 aug, and at that time JPY was 1.26 against PKR.

Yes, it is 2010 model, 4.5 grade 40K driven, white color.
So it cannot be that car.

Its good for you that they charge duty as pr sep 2011, this means you got 12% more rebate in custom duty...
Duty on 1.5 of 2011 model is $5,746
And if it was 1.5 of 2012 model, then duty would be $6,760.
So I think you accidentally saved $1,014...
